And do they also have such things as loganberries, boysenberries and olympicberries in Massachusetts? (These are all real things that people in the Puget Sound area know about.) If you are home now with time to spare, please give me a call.

I don't think so, but there is the nasty situation here that where there are bramble berries, there too, very often, is lots and lots of poison ivy!
And then there are cottontails... I have had black raspberries, blackberries (scrubby not particularly worthwhile volunteer ones), purple raspberries, red raspberries, and gold raspberries in my yard. A wretched cottontail chewed through the purple raspberry canes, the red ones, the minor amount of gold ones, and mostly left the black raspberry canes alone--but the neighbor's lawn mower didn't help the last.
Then there are wineberries, which the Commonwealth of Massachusetts regards as a noxious spreadin pest plant (I planted a few long ago, and they do spread. The wretched cottontail mostly leaves wineberries alone, however.)
"West to southwesterly winds have moderated below gale force over land areas but may still gust near 90km/h over the exposed South Gippsland coast until late morning."
High: 98 (tomorrow: 100, for sure) Humidity: 80% Sunshine - and more sunshine No breeze to speak of(at the moment) grass has gone dormant the front yard is now baked concrete
