Sorting by time and color

The coolest thing just showed up in my mailbox, thanks to Jim Linwood, who credited Craig Miller for posting the link on the Timebinders email list. It's a unique arrangement of 3,448 SF magazine covers, and is utterly fun to play with. The "read how it was made" page is also worth it.

This definitely comes under the category of People Who Have Way Too Much Time on Their Hands but it is still really nifty.

I like the fact that the covers are arranged by color, much like the SF in my basement.

For some reason, I kept thinking postal mail, and this was a CD-ROM or something. Juliebata had me follow the link, we both looked at it now. Thank you!

That was on BoingBoing a few days ago. Yes, it's really neat.

As Charlton Heston might once have phrased it: Oh. My. God.

I am halfway tempted to empty a few dozen boxes onto the floor in my back room and achieve a similar effect.
